Every time we look at the pictures from Wąsosz we think how lucky we are to know people from there. We are blessed with Friends who are able to do everything they can to help. We are very grateful for their kindness and big hearts.
The big day started with warm welcoming. A group of smiling volunteers swiftly took care of our children and played with them all day. These wonderful young people were strongly involved in organizing the event for the fifth time – how cool is that?! J So having this awesome companions our kids could smile all day taking part in many activities presented at the festival. Things like horse-drawn carriage ride, bouncy castle or trying someone’s skills in archery in “Indian village” especially interested children. No less they were interested in face painting ;) As kids were under care of volunteers adults could relax listening bands playing live. Diversity – it’s the best word to describe the mix of music styles presented that day. One could watch ladies from folk group “Wąsoszanki” (named after the town they live in) who celebrated 45 years on stage followed by talented teenagers who just debuted. Our children also prepared short show to thank everybody who attended festival and helped.
A blood donation campaing was held during festival. It's mascot The Corpuscle is loved by our kids :)
Auction and lottery were the highlights of the day. All lottery tickets were sold out (as every ticket have guaranteed a prize) and the drawing ended late at night. T-shirt of polish national football team and signed ball were the main items in the auction.
Thanks to this festival we’ve collected:
17 200,00 zl
As it was announced from the beginning this money will help us buy a lift and install it in the building. The lift will be especially helpful for our babies ward which is also under renovation works right know – all this it’s a part of Home for Children campaign.
You can help too!
People of Wąsosz once again donated many things such as toys, clothes, nappies, cleaning products and many more. Thank you for being with and for us that day!
Also we want to thank all who were involved in the preparations of festiwal – once again huge thanks we send to priest Mariusz Wyrostkiewicz and his young supporters. Thank you for being with us all this years! :)
